Who Are We?
What is PIctou County Cruisers MC all about? Its an organization made up of
members, dedicated to protecting the interests of motorcyclists and to developing
better and more enthusiastic relations between the general public, the media and
the operators and riders of motorcycles. Members that set forth to encourage rider
participation in events; promote motorcycle safety and camaraderie among
members, promote organized events; while performing them in a lawful manner.
Our membership welcomes and includes all women motorcycle enthusiasts, both
passengers and operators.

Club President: Shall assure the compliance by all Club members with the Pictou
County Cruisers. Shall exercise general supervision over the members of the Club
Board and the affairs of the Club. Shall have the authority to make day-to-day
decisions concerning the operations of the Club and report those decisions to the
membership. Shall represent the Pictou County Cruisers in involvement with other
riders groups and organizations. Shall be point of contact for all Club members in
communicating with Pictou County Cruisers and other clubs throughout Nova Scotia
Vice-President: Shall stand in for and hold the responsibilities of the President in
his absence. Shall work with all committee chairs to coordinate and inform board of
committee progress.
Secretary: Shall keep minutes of all meetings. Shall conduct a roll call of members
at general meetings. Shall be sure that all members sign in on roster for monthly
rides. Shall make sure that all members have signed a waiver form for the current
year. Shall make sure that all e-mails are forwarded to the membership.
Treasurer: Shall maintain a bookkeeping system for the funds of the Club. Shall
make a monthly financial report to the Executive Board at E. Board meetings, and
to the membership at each general meeting. Shall oversee sales of Club
merchandise, i.e. T-shirts, Crests, etc. Shall place all orders and collect all monies
for items purchased , i.e. back patches, rockers, both the large rocker and any
small rocker. Shall coordinate and collect funds during all 50/50 raffles.
Sergeant At Arms: Shall be present at all meetings to keep and maintain order.
Committees: Shall be appointed to cover Safety, Club Rides, Events and a Club
Historian.
Safety: Shall keep membership aware of good safety practices. Shall brief
membership at all rides and meetings. Shall continue to research information
concerning motorcycle safety and equipment.
Ride: Shall plan out monthly Club rides and special event rides. Shall brief all
riders of route and supply them with a map of the route during pre ride meeting.
Shall plan out fuel and rest stops for each ride accounting for the mileage and
weather conditions.
Events: Shall work with other committees as necessary to plan out special events.
Historian: Shall keep records of Club rides, events and statistics. Shall give a
year end report on number of events Club participated in, miles traveled as a Club,
ride attendance and members who made most events and rides.
Road Captains: Shall ride in the front left position in the pack and lead each
group of riders. Shall call for lane changes by signal to Tail Gunner. Shall notify
group of road hazards as they are found by hand signal to be passed back
through the group.
Tail Gunner: Shall at all times be the last rider in the formation. Shall be the only
rider to stop and assist another rider in the group that has experienced a problem.
Shall upon notification by signal, sent back from the Ride Captain, move left or
right to secure the open lane for a group lane change. Shall monitor the entire
group to maintain formation. Shall notify the Ride Captain and Club President of
any violations in rides procedures.
