Club History
The Pictou County Cruisers MC club was started in 2000 by
Rick Welbourn and four others: Alex Parker, Dave Trifry, Gary Esling
and Rick Zentner. Rick sat down and decided to tackle the job of
creating the club colours, writing up the Rules and Regulations. Some
long time biker friends from the West coast help Rick out with the task
of putting together a club. Alex, Gary, Dave and Rick Z where alot of
help in putting the club together. You need 6 members to start a club,
at this point is where Bobby MacDonald came on board. Now the club
was officially formed. Then a major recruitment campaign was put in
action and took on 24 members within the first year. It took awhile to
build the membership up because unlike most family clubs you must be
a Prospective Member first. Gotta follow the rules!...
The Pictou County Cruiser MC has co-sponsored the Motorcycle
Awareness Ride with Adventure Motors since 2000. The club meets the
last Wednesday of every month at the Legion in New Glasgow at 7:00
pm. Everyone is welcome at general meetings. There are 37 members at
this time. All riders are welcome to participate in all of the club rides and
events. The more the merrier.
