Notice from a biker

I just want to pass on that I was down at Perks on
the  waterfront today and a cop on a bicycle was
ticketing all vehicles parked there. When I pulled
up on my bike he told me I couldn't park there
except on Thursday nights. He told me he couldn't
get through there a couple of days ago with his
car, so now parking tickets will be issued for the
rest of the summer. He was ticketing a van when i
got there, and as i left he started writing up 2 bikes
that were unattended.

So Bikers Beware!
Pictou Country Cruisers had a good
turn out for their Awareness Ride....
check out the pictures from the
ride......

"We finally have a winner - Kathy
Lawton of Halifax turned in ticket
#3 and collected the $762.50 from
the Sunday 50/50 draw from the
Biker Bash".
Gold Wing Road Riders were out on the Musquidobit Highway
along with the RCMP passing out safety awareness
information to the cars passing through.  Its time for us to
remind the cars that we are out again...  Was a great day for
it.. will happen again before the end of the month.... thanks
for helping..

What a great day!... Hundreds and
hundreds of bikes showed up to the Bike
Blessing in Truro.. I would say around 600
bikes for sure.  Click on the pic to check
out the day......
Brrrrrrrrr cold day, lots of great supporters though... We had lots of media this
time around so we might get more attention.  We need Bill boards, Posters,
Radio and TV Ads this time of year to make the public aware that we are out
again......... This Proclaimation is a good thing!...  The Minister Murray Scott
was great!... Lets keep onto this one... Next will be the Parking issue.......

With attendance figures over 15,000, it is
evident that the motorcycle industries are
very much alive in Atlantic Canada..IM
sure we will see the same results with the
Halifax Biker Bash.. everyone is into it
now!... see you there!...

Notice:

To all those helpful bikers that took part in the FEED Nova
Scotia clean up last Saturday.

I would like to express my most sincere thanks to all the biker
brothers and sisters and clubs that took part in the Food Bank
clean up Saturday the 8th of March. The number of people that
showed up was astounding and the "get the job done" attitude
was fantastic. Quite frankly I am at a loss for words on how
great I feel at all the help we had.

It is safe to say that I am extremely grateful to you all, and no
amount of thanks is enough. The job was not pretty, but
everyone put in such a great effort - so good, the Food Bank
could not keep up with us!

I considered putting in all the names of the people that took
part in this thank you but reconsidered, as some people might
not want the recognition. So I will just put in the names of the
Clubs that sent representatives in this much needed call for
help. In order found on the sign-in sheet. Valley Shifters,
Defenders, Road Dawgs, Gold Wing Road Riders Association,
Association of Recovering Motorcyclists (ARM), Nova Scotia
Bikers, Jokers Wild, Buffalo Soldiers and the Central Harley
Owners Group (HOG).

Once again thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

There are motorcycles for sale on Kijiji - and its
a great site if you are looking to buy a bike.. if
you email someone and they are in Alaska or
Timbucktoo.. and want you to send money..
that is a big fat red flag that someone is
scamming you.. so beware and use common
sense when it comes to buying a bike online...
if it looks too good to be true.. probably is.. so
dont send any money!...
(thanks Ernie)
